It seems like nearly everyone in the gaming industry has been talking about Elden Ring over the last week. Since it was released on February 25, numerous gamers have checked out the title across its supported platforms. Among those embarking on this latest adventure from FromSoftware is YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect. While he might be known for his proficiency playing first-person shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone or Escape from Tarkov, Dr Disrespect is not afraid to dabble in other genres. Over the years, he has played many types of games during his broadcasts. With each game, he is always eager for a challenge to demonstrate his gaming prowess. As a result, it should come as no surprise that the Doc has been playing a lot of Elden Ring on stream.RELATED: Dr Disrespect Beats Elden Ring Boss Without Taking a Single HitRecently, Dr Disrespect made some controversial claims about Elden Ring and those that play it. These comments came during a livestream on his YouTube channel from March 2. During a marathon broadcast, the Doc took the time to point out his incredible skill at the game. “I might be the best Elden Ring player,” he proclaimed. He backed up this statement by claiming that the stuff he was doing early on, others were having trouble completing at much higher levels. Specifically, he called out popular Twitch steamer xQc. “xQc, he’s like level 99. He’s got someone off-stream grinding it for him,” the Doc claimed.
Following this bold assertion, Dr Disrespect claimed that his gaming skills were underappreciated compared to other streamers, such as xQc. In addition, he said that he was “the best sniper in the history of first-person shooters.” As a result, the Doc believed that the game was relatively easy compared to some other titles he plays. “When I pick up these single-player easy games, the results show,” he said.
These are doubtlessly some bold statements from Dr Disrespect. Like the Doc, xQc has been grinding Elden Ring for hours since launch. However, the Canadian streamer recently managed to finish the adventure, something Dr Disrespect has yet to do. It will be interesting to see if xQc eventually fires back at the Doc for making these controversial comments on stream.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that it has not been smooth sailing for Dr Disrespect in Elden Ring. Since he started the game, there have been certain enemies that have given him trouble and slowed his progression through the adventure. At one point, things turned so bad that the Doc even rage quit. While he intends to return to Elden Ring in the coming days, the experience is unlikely to get any easier. Time will tell if he sticks with the game long enough to make it to the finish line.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
