However, it seems Twitch mainstay Dr DisRespect has another major complaint about the game, with the streamer recently ranting on his broadcast about the game’s severe audio problems. Although the game’s sound mixing and other issues have been criticized by players before, the Doc had a lot of choice words to say about them during his stream, with the streamer claiming Warzone has the “worst audio design in the history of first-person shooter games.”

The rant came after DisRespect was killed in battle, with the streamer discussing why he hates the audio design of Warzone and believes its some of the worst he’s experienced in recent memory. “Audio is so distracting in this game,” the streamer begins, continuing, “Worst audio design in the history of first-person shooter games – I think it’s this game, I really do.” He goes on to discuss how footsteps don’t sync up with player positions, while sounds don’t realistically line-up with their distance from the player. “I don’t know, everything just feels like it’s more of a distraction than anything,” DisRespect states, clarifying his point by stating “Audio doesn’t sound right, distances don’t sound right, it’s just a f**king mess man.”

Dr DisRespect is far from the first Warzone player to discuss the need for the game’s audio to be revised either, with many players claiming that the game’s sound makes it difficult to truly play the title tactically. Players have specifically criticized how difficult it is to hear whether enemies are on a floor above or below you, while others have corroborated the Doc’s points that noise feels much further away than it actually is.

This isn’t the first time Dr DisRespect has been vocal about the flaws in the video games he plays, however, with the streamer often discussing how his favorite titles could be better during his streams. He recently called out the Overwatch League for how hard it is to watch, while he’s also directed criticism at Valorant, and Warzone’s self-revive feature. It’s no doubt an interesting discussion and brings up some major issues Activision should look to address in future patches.

Call of Duty Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
