The teams : Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid

Bayern Munich surely look as through they will be crowned as the European Champions this season. The way in which Bayern won the Bundesliga tilte makes it clear. Team after team have been thrashed down by The Bavarians. Bayern defeated Hamburger FC 9-2 a few weeks ago. Last night they maintained a clean sheet against Nurnberg FC and also scored 4 goals. Bayern beat Juventus 2-0 in both the legs of UCL, scored 9 past Hamburger and 4 past Nurnber FC. Its seems to be very tough to get the ball past Manuel Neur. Also their defence is one of the best in the world. Their performance against Juventus in the Champions league shows us that the Bavarians are much prepared than last year and look to win the title after 2 unsuccesful attempts in the last 4 years. We can just wish Bayern a good luck on their quest for their fifth European Crown, after all the previous years in Europe has been a bit tough for them.

Barcelona, the home to many young talents, the best club in the world, are also on the run for their fifth Champions League Trophy. Barcelona are almost invincible at Camp Nou. But away from home they have lost their ability to withstand pressure. It was very clear when Barca lost to AC Milan, Real Madrid and drew with PSG. They have had great success in La Liga this season. Barcelona fought hard to earn a draw against PSG and also struggled in Milan. A comfortable 5-0 win over Mallorca shows how good they are. But their European chances seem to be very less because of injuries to key players and defensive problems. Messi is the back bone of Barca and his mere presence was enough for them to draw an equalizer against PSG last week in New Camp. No one has to talk about their La Liga form. They are playing some excellent football, thanks to Vilanova. A record for 6th consecutive appearance in UCL semi-final and to come out of ” Chelsea” nightmare should inspire them to win UCL this year. Anyway a good luck to the Catalans for their upcoming matches.

Borussia Dortmund, the Bundesliga champions of 2011-2012 season have had a bit of hard times in Bundesliga against their rivals Bayern Munich. Not to worry Borussia can easily stay up in their 2nd spot as the pressure from Leverkusen and Schalke04 is not that immense. Crowned as the European Champs once in 1997 , the Die Borussen have been trying to regain the Champions League table. With a host of young talents like Mario Goetze, Lewandowski, Reus, Hummels , the Die Borussen have maintained an unbeaten record in 2012-2013 Champions League. Borussia Dortmund made a superb comeback against Malaga last week to sneak past them to the Semis of UCL. The last minute goals from Reus and Santana made this possible. This shows the pressure handling capacity of BVB even when the situation is worse. They choked RMA twice in the group stages of the UCL. They would go into the Semis with high confidence by their record over RMA in the group stages. They would try to continue their run and win the title.

Real Madrid, the 9 times European Cahmpions, are trying to regain their lost European glory. The last time Los Blancos won the UCl was back in 2002. Even with the worlds best players in their starting 11, the Madrid team has failed to lay hands on European Champions League. Real have had a very tough phase in La Liga. But their form is improving a bit a the season is coming to an end. Their performance against Galatasaray in Madrid was awesome but they could not just control the Turks in Istanbul. They have now clearly sealed the second spot but winning the League is far from their reach. Under Mourinho, Real Madrid seem to have found their lost touch. With Casillas coming back from injury it will be a morale boost to the Madristas. So let us wish luck for the Kings on their 10th UCL title quest.

All the four teams have maintained good records at their respective leagues. All the four teams have started to rain goals.
